Whether you know it or not, chances are someone you know and care about has at some point been affected by a chronic health condition.  HIV/AIDS is one such condition, and although much progress has been made over the past few decades to manage symptoms and effects of this disease, there is still no overall cure.

Of all the individuals I know who have HIV and manage this condition on a daily basis, I've been EXTREMELY fortunate never to have lost one of them; they have continued to keep the condition from developing into AIDS, (which is quite different from HIV) and I hope that continues to remain the case.  This didn't used to be possible, and is now doable in large part due to profound breakthroughs in research and medical treatments, which are by no means inexpensive to complete and develop.  It requires funding just like any other type of medical research.

I am getting involved in our community's single most powerful and enduring response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and my hope is that you will too. To make a donation on my behalf and help me reach my fundraising goal, please click on the "Donate Now" button to the right.

Help me raise money for AIDS Walk Portland that supports the crucial programs and services of Cascade AIDS Project (CAP).
