**With what is going on in Texas and beyond in the Gulf region, it’s hard to ask for donations for another cause. But we have to remember that even when disasters occur, the need for ongoing efforts doesn’t diminish.
I’m still hoping to make my fundraising goal to support the work of Cascade AIDS Project, through the AIDS Walk Portland on September 9, in just over a week. And in consideration of our collective desire to give help where it is needed and how best we can, I will pay it forward, literally.
I plan to match 100% of the donations currently on my CAP fundraising page ($345) to organizations aiding in the disaster relief efforts around the Gulf area affected by Hurricane Harvey, and any donations that come in by the day of the walk (Sept. 9) will be matched by a minimum of 50%.
Help me raise money for AIDS Walk Portland that supports the crucial programs and services of Cascade AIDS Project (CAP).
I am getting involved in our community's single most powerful and enduring response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and my hope is that you will too. To make a donation on my behalf and help me reach my fundraising goal, please click on the "Donate Now" button to the right.
This will be my first year participating in this event, and I am very much looking forward to the effect we can have working together.
Thank you for your support!
