Even though I've been a part of this event for a several years, this year seems more important than ever.
Our team, the Explorers Club, is known for our red neckerchiefs and I'd love to be able to drape one around your neck... Not sure what your schedule is yet, no problem. You are under no obligation to commit to anything by registering now, but a strong showing of solidarity on September 9th will send a strong message! *Registration is free until 6/18 with the promo code "PRIDE"
I do this every year in honor of my family and friends that I've lost to this virus as well as those that live with this on a daily basis. We've made great strides the past few years in beating back the stigma of the 'disease', controlling the virus, and even getting close to finding a cure, but with the current political climate I am fearful of a loss of this momentum. Your support is needed now more than ever. So if you are able to make a donation to the cause that is most appreciated!
This truly is an amazing event and very dear to my heart. It's family friendly and there's fun to be had before and after the walk.
And of course the Explorers are a whacky bunch so we ALWAYS have fun!!!
Mostly it's an amazing display of people coming together from all walks of life to support this celebration of life!
It touches me to bear witness...it never gets old! I hope you can join us!
